The `OPTUS' PROJECTION BIOSCOPE
The perils of teaching Biology to a class of 40/60 students is known only to the biology teacher. To show AMOEBA or any other unicellular organism to all these students by using a regular microscope is an exercise in futility. After having fixed the organism in the `view' you ask the children to line up in a queue for the `DARSHAN' - the nudging and pushing [playful antics] of the children is a bonus!
The child viewing into the microscope is barely able to have a `look' before he is pushed away - so the bewildered child wonders what he has `supposed' to have seen. The teacher asks DID YOU SEE IT- the child dutifully replies YES! To be able to see properly through the eye piece needs `practice' - what with the light falling from all sides - the eye lashes touching the lens. I have seen many children closing the very eye they are supposed to be looking with and saying loudly to madam [why are more biology teachers women - let us take up that issue somewhere else] YES I CAN SEE IT!
OPTUS PROJECTION BIOSCOPE can project the image on the microslide on a 100mm/150mm screen or on to the wall [depending on the model you choose] in any size [by increasing distance and by creating a dark room]. The image can be simultaneously by the teacher and all the students. A set of 10/20 microslides can be shown in one single period!

THE `OPTUS' MAP/CHART STAND
During my visits to the schools, I often found the walls of the staffroom to be decorated by dirty charts. Wooden frames occupying badly needed floor space and an eyesore too! All efforts to keep the maps and charts neatly stored and easily retrievable failed MISERABLY.
The search for a particular chart from such storage methods was agonising. You never knew whether you will be able to find the particular chart within 40 minutes of your period.
